My video gaming name is: PixelDino9797.
My video gaming history.
I first started video gaming around 1978 by playing arcade games at seaside places around UK.
A year or so later, my parents bought me a few handheld video games, one was called Invaders1000.
Around 1980 my parents got the video console bug and bought us an Atari 2600 console. What a machine it was! Some fantastic games were available on it over the 1980's.
At the arcade I enjoyed playing Pac Man, Asteroids and Galaxian.
The first Home computer I used (and first keyboard I typed on) was a BBC B Micro in 1984. Christmas 1984, Father bought us a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k. Football Manager was a fantastic addictive Spectrum game I loved. And JetPac was the first Spectrum game I completed.
Nintendo Game+Watch series looked fab so I bought a Nintendo Snoopy Tennis handheld.
I used a RM Link 480Z computer at school and later on the RM Nimbus.
2 Christmases later in 1986 I was given a Sinclair Spectrum 128+2. Proper keyboard heaven I was in, and less multi-loading of games. There were many many Spectrum games I got addicted to over 6 years: Gunship, Laser Squad, Starglider, Robocop, etc.
During School lunches I would travel to the local arcade to play arcade games like Outrun.
In 1989 I went over to the dark side and got a Commodore Amiga A500. I enjoyed the Kick Off 2 football sim.
In 1992 I bought myself my first PC, a second-hand Olivetti 386-16mhz SX. I got addicted to a 3D FPS called Wolfenstein 3D. Later on I played my first LAN PvP game of Doom 1 (or was it Doom 2). I did play both and enjoyed them.
Mid 1990's I did play often at the arcade, I was a very good at Time Crisis, less good at Street Fighter 2! (haha).
On the PC my wife and I enjoyed playing Bubble Bobble games on an arcade emulator.
Between 1996-1998 I began playing games online for the first time. I was an online video gamer playing Duke Nukem 3D PvP over a 33.6kbps modem. And also playing Quake on LAN at the University halls I studied in. My video gaming name was 'Redeem'. I later joined a Clan the infamous 4Kings playing Quake 1, although that was short-lived (I didn't have the free time).
Over the years I bought many PC's and laptops. And pre-ordered the Sony PS2 around 2001 before it came out in UK - what a fab console! And my first DVD player! haha.
And then bought Grand Theft Auto 3 (GTA3) and got very addicted to it, and later on GTA3 Vice City).
Around the same time I got into Counter Strike online, which I played on and off for a few years (a terrific multiplayer FPS!). And I played and completed the lovely FPS game Max Payne. Around 2003 I started playing Laser Squad Nemesis (LSN) online up until 2006.
In 2004 I got a Nintendo DS, followed later on by a Nintendo 3DS and a Wii console. Yes I loved Wii Sports and Mario Galaxy.
Between 2005-2007 I was playing a lot of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, my character was usually a sniper.
Briefly around 2013 I got briefly into the reboot of X-Com playing it on my laptop (I still want to complete that game!). I then changed my video gaming name to 'TeaBoyLee'.
I then bought a Sony PS3 for the blu-ray element part of it. And a Nintendo 3DS XL.
In 2019/2020 I did play Heroes and Generals WWII a FPS multiplayer online game that I really enjoyed.
In 2020 I changed my video gaming name (final time!) to 'PixelDino9797', and got the dinosaur logo (from getting a Google Stadia online account)
Also in 2020 my brother-in-law convinced me to get a Google Stadia, and I was addicted to Cyberpunk 2077 and it fantastic graphics on my TV. RDR2 was also brilliant on the Google Stadia. But sadly a few years later Google decided to close down Stadia, and so I had to look for alternatives.
I became a Nvidia GeForce Now PC gamer (on my laptop) and also around 2023 I bought a Nintendo Switch. I started playing the game DayZ. And Zelda on the Switch.
